Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre is working on a new version of “Gin and Juice” again
After 30 years of ‘sipping gin and juice’, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre reunites for a collaboration that goes beyond music. This month, two West Coast rappers released a line of cocktails named after their 1994 song.
“Together we always strive to create magic, we have fun being creative, and everything in this product is truly us,” Dr. Dre stated in a press release. “There is passion, friendship, love and culture behind it. We shoot to make everything we do great, and fortunately, most of the time we hit the mark.”
As the name suggests, the ready-to-drink cocktails feature premium gin and a variety of flavored juices including apricot, citrus, passion fruit and melon. In honor of the premiere, the rappers appeared in a profanity-filled film inspired by “Pulp Fiction” videowhich initially convinced fans that a new musical collaboration was coming.
“I was hoping this was the album Snoops had been talking about for years, but it’s canned soda. OK,” one user replied X, formerly generally known as Twitter.

While this could be the first rapper collaboration on this space, each Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have experience within the spirits industry. In 2020, Snoop Dogg released INDOGGO® gin in collaboration with Keenan Towns of Trusted Spirits and Prestige Beverage Group, which he describes as “a luscious gin, smooth as DO Double G.” That same 12 months, the rapper announced a multi-year partnership with 19 Crimes wine, which saw him launch “Snoop Cali Red” and has since launched a variety of wine blends under the brand. However, Snoop Dogg’s business portfolio goes far beyond spirits. The rapper has made a name for himself in various industries through his involvement in ventures similar to Casa Verde Capital, a cannabis-focused investment fund, Broadus Food Productsproducing breakfast food, Digital Dogg, a gaming company; and more.
On the opposite hand, Dr. Dre announced plans to release a vodka and cognac brand in 2008 coincided with the discharge of his album “Detox”. However, on account of delays within the album’s release that ultimately never got here to fruition, it is unclear whether the rapper’s “Aftermath Cognac” was ever released to the general public, despite rumors of its distribution to liquor stores in 2010. Nevertheless, Dr. Dre grew into a outstanding businessman, best known for his Beats by Dr. headphone brand. Dre.” In 2018 Forbes placed him on the list of highest-paid artists after he reportedly earned $35 million from a take care of Apple and his company.
“Look where we’re in our profession. “You look at our age and what we’ve done and we still love each other, so why not do something together,” Snoop Dogg said. “A lot of times people have been in relationships for 30 years and can’t talk to each other or spend time together, so it’s nice to be in a relationship with people you really love.”
