The two actors, who starred together from the first season in 1990 until the end of the third season in 1993, posted a video of the event highlighting their interaction on Instagram on Thursday, March 7. “I’m with Janet Hubert to read her new BOOKS!” written above the video.

In the video, wearing an African-inspired outfit, she squealed, “Thank you for coming, baby.”

The Philadelphia resident replied, “You look beautiful.”

The video then shows Hubert rubbing Smith’s hair and beard and he or she says, “You haven’t changed a thing.”

He replied in his uniquely comical way, “It’s nothing but the best nuts and berries.”

The video then shows the duo on stage with 200 enthusiastic children who happily follow them as they read a book together.

The book “JG and the BCKids” was based on the book “JG and the BCKids”. animated movie published by Hubert in 2020 under the same title.

Hubert said in 2023 that Smith has supported “JC and BC Kids” because it was a cartoon and helped her during the SAG/AFTRA strike.

This was evident at a recent book reading event. After reading the book to students, Smith transformed into a rapper, encouraging the audience to cheer Janet’s name.
