Watch: Great Jobs KC visits the White House to talk about wealth disparity

Despite the creation of reparations committees, reparations haven’t yet been paid and the wealth gap continues to be a major problem for people of color. However, nonprofit organizations like Great Jobs KC are committed to helping unemployed and disabled people find self-sustaining employment.

The group recently met with politicians at the White House to discuss the importance of providing opportunities for entrepreneurs of color. Earl Martin Phalen, CEO of Great Jobs KC, joins “theGrio with Marc Lamont Hill” to discuss the visit and the changes he wants to see in closing the wealth gap.
