Two months after a devastating mental health crisis that just about took her life, singer Tamar Braxton is opening up in regards to the stressful life circumstances that led as much as it.

In July, Braxton was rushed to the hospital after her fiancé, David Adefeso, found her unconscious in a hotel room. In this uncompromising conversation on Taraji P. Henson’s recent Facebook Watch show, Braxton says she committed suicide because she saw no other method to get rid of the pain she was experiencing on the time.

“Everything was going wrong,” he tells Henson and co-host Tracie Jade. “I had no contact with my family. I separated from my sisters and mother. I worked with my family. We didn’t have time for treatment.” She continues to claim that her relationship with Adefeso “got out of control” and that she has seen no signs of reconciliation. Braxton also felt a disconnect with her 7-year-old son Logan, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband Vince Herbert. “Yes, I checked in, but I didn’t really check in,” she admits. “Yes, I would make him something to eat, but I didn’t know if he would like it.”

In a devastating confession, Braxton says she began to imagine her son Logan can be higher off without her. “Logan was the reason I made this decision,” she says. “I just felt like he deserved higher. I felt like I embarrassed him by being a idiot on TV.

In a recent Instagram post, Braxton thanked God for a second likelihood at life. “God, thank you for saving me,” she wrote. “You know my true heart. Despite what the world might imagine of me, you kept me here for a reason. You are the God of second possibilities, and I do not take second possibilities without any consideration. The world is commonly a dark place, but I need to turn to You for my light.

In this episode, Braxton will even be joined by a mother and daughter who will share their experiences of mental breakdown and the way they broke the generational cycle. The episode will premiere on Monday, December 21 on Facebook Watch.
