Sitting is the new smoking! Marco Borges on the importance of daily exercise

During the first week of the two-part ESSENCE Wellness House 2020 event, New York Times bestselling writer and founder and CEO of 22 Days Nutrition, Marco Borges, visited us in collaboration with Wal-Martto speak about healthy eating and life. During his event presented by Walmart-Exercise, Daily Borges took a moment to emphasise how necessary it is to never let your lifestyle change into too sedentary.
“You have control over your health. How much do you move? They say sitting is the new smoking,” said the best-selling author . And the truth is that although it sounds like a joke, it is not. Most people spend most of their day sitting. We need to move more!”
Don’t feel overwhelmed. Getting your body moving should come just a little more naturally than you’re thinking that.
“Our bodies are made to move,” adds Borges. “At least half-hour of exercise three days per week, and ideally five days per week of 30-45 minutes of exercise. And this exercise might be something so simple as walking.
