Issa Rae and Cynthia Erivo will present themselves at the Oscars

The final group of Oscar presenters have been announced, with stars like Issa Rae, Cynthia Erivo and more expected to take the stage on Hollywood’s biggest night.

The Academy Awards will air this Sunday live from the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood, and a few of the industry’s brightest stars will gather to have a good time their final 12 months in film. Projects like “Oppenheimer,” “Barbie,” “American Fiction” and more received multiple nominations ahead of the evening, and the Academy officially announced the final group of presenters who will be on stage throughout the ceremony.

“Insecure” star and creator Issa Rae will present on Sunday at Deadline. The actress, screenwriter and producer stars in the film “American Fiction”, which received five nominations this 12 months. Cynthia Erivo will also take the stage as a presenter, as will her “Wicked” co-star Ariana Grande. Erivo is a two-time Oscar nominee, and in 2020 she earned nominations for best actress in “Harriet” and best original song.

Oscar winner Forest Whitaker will also present this 12 months. The actor won an Oscar in 2007 for his role in “The Last King of Scotland.” It will also present America Ferrera, who stars in the film “Barbie” and is nominated for it. Rounding out the shortlist of presenters are Emily Blunt, Sally Field, Ryan Gosling, Ben Kingsley, Melissa McCarthy, Steven Spielberg, Mary Steenburgen, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlize Theron and Christoph Waltz.

As theGrio previously reported, other presenters already announced include Mahershala Ali, Regina King, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya and more.

The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air Sunday, March 10 at 7 p.m. ET, live to tell the tale ABC.
