Dak Prescott is officially a father after a girl gives birth to a baby on Leap Day

According to PeopleThe Dallas Cowboys quarterback and his girlfriend, influencer Sarah Jane Ramos, commemorated Leap Day – which falls on February 29 every 4 years – with the birth of their daughter.

The recent father addressed his newborn only as “MJ” while talking to reporters about his unknown role in fatherhood at a recent Children’s Cancer Fund event in Dallas.

“I feel different,” Prescott said.

“When you get up within the morning and see that child, you understand the responsibility. And every part I’ve all the time wanted for myself, but I need it much more for another person,” he said, adding: “Yes, it’s something special.”

Prescott and Ramos were first romantically linked in September while she watched the Cowboys defeat the New York Giants within the opening week of the 2023 NFL season, People magazine reported.

In November, the couple announced on Instagram that they were expecting a baby girl, and Ramos shared several black-and-white photos from her pregnancy.

“A little bit of heaven sent to Earth,” Ramos wrote, tagging the NFL star. “Our immeasurable blessing. I can’t wait to raise a strong, confident and beautiful daughter with you @_4dak.”

Prescott sweetly commented on his girlfriend’s post, writing, “Can’t explain how grateful I am to be able to do this with you!”

He also shared a photo of Ramos on his Instagram story, expressing how “extremely blessed” he felt to expect his first child.
