Weekly Farmer’s Markets bring local businesses together | MyPanhandle.com [Video]

LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WMBB) — Local produce, goods and crafts vendors will set up shop at Sharon Sheffield Park starting July 23 at 10 a.m. for the City of Lynn Haven’s Weekly Farmer’s Markets.

The markets will return for approximately eight weeks’ time, after the City put them on pause in 2019 due to Hurricane Micheal damage and recovery.

Kathryn Morse, with the Lynn Haven Communications and Marketing, said the markets will run until 2 p.m. on alternating Thursday’s and Saturdays, and anyone interested in becoming a vendor can apply online.

Morse also explained COVID-19 precautions, such as social distancing and mask wearing, are strongly encouraged to keep vendors and shoppers safe.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) — The Panama City Beach City Council has passed a mandatory mask ordinance. The ordinance goes into effect on Monday.

The ordinance covers indoor businesses, bars, restaurants and retail stores. Gyms are exempt. It is effective at 5 p.m. on Monday.

Those over the age of 6 must wear a mask. It is a civil offense and the first offense will come with a warning from law enforcement. The second offense is a $50 fine. The third is $100.

The ordinance will be re-evaluated at a city council meeting scheduled for August 13.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB)– After seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases the Panama City Beach City council made amendments to their emergency order mask mandate.

Initially, employees of public businesses like restaurants, retail stores and indoor amusements were required to wear masks. Customers, initially had the choice as to whether they wanted to wear one.

Thursday, the Panama City Beach City Council has now made the choice to mandate that citizens aged six and up who are entering those businesses must also wear a mask.

“If we’re going to ask the employees to protect the patrons, I think it’s in line to have the patrons protect the employees as well,” said Councilmember Michael Jarman.

Those who have a pre-existing condition or disability will be exempt from the mandate. Gyms will also not be required to enforce the mandate if proper social distancing guidelines are followed.

Former UFC flyweight and featherweight champion Henry Cejudo has been training in a wrestling ring. He trained at the Team Vision Dojo in Winter Park, Florida. He’s a big pro wrestling fan and has expressed interest in getting into the business.
