SwitchArcade Roundup: “Fragrant History and the Path of the Papaya,” plus today’s other releases and sales
Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade recap from August 26, 2024. In today’s article, we start the week with a rather lighter edition than usual. No reviews today as I’m a bit busy with other projects, which implies we only have just a few recent releases to review and the usual lists of recent and expiring sales. Well, at the least one of the recent things is interesting. The sales charts aren’t too shabby either. Tomorrow, I hope, I’ll write some review. Let’s go in and take a look at what we’ve!
Select What’s New
Fragrant History and the Path of Papaya ($7.99)
Ah, the sordid story of one of the last would-be Nintendo 3DS games. There is loads of confusion surrounding this game, so let me clear it up. Despite being a seemingly stellar tactical RPG, those that bought it on launch were surprised to get a game that lasted all of twenty minutes. True story? Nintendo’s deadline for 3DS games was quickly approaching, so the developer pushed the unfinished game to the eShop. It was later updated to the intended game, a far more extensive one which lasts over ten hours. So don’t fret in case you notice that the game is ridiculously short. This shouldn’t be. This version already includes updates and is a fairly solid eight-dollar option in case you like this genre.
Charlatan’s Leap ($3.99)
A straightforward platformer, but functional. It tries to maintain it fresh throughout the 40 levels, adding recent tricks because it goes along. For 4 dollars it’s fun enough.
Subway Station ($7.90)
Sort of like an idle game where you are attempting to repay your debts by working in a dungeon. It doesn’t look too fancy, but on a day when we’ve to wade through Moist Editions of AI-generated anime girls in bikinis, we’ll take what we will get.
Turnover
Okay, let’s check this inbox first. Another sale from Limited Run Games, which is sweet in case you’re missing any of their quirky releases. Most of TROOOZE’s junk is on sale, of which I’ve just mentioned just a few. Some Team 17 sales too. In the dropbox, the last and slightly rare remake sale is coming to an end. If you are interested, you possibly can add them to your collection as they appear to be discounted much less steadily than other Forever games.

A compelling conspiracy theory in Destiny 2, a great zombie mode in Black Ops 6, and more topics that stirred strong emotions this week
This week it’s here and with it the return of the classic Zombie game. It’s sensible and took our author right back to the nights he spent happily playing this mode together with his friends back in the times of . Meanwhile, the arrival of the newest content update and the terrible drop rate of gods from their hottest weapons has reinforced the assumption amongst some fans that such a drop is statistically unfavorable. The result’s a compelling conspiracy theory about how loot drops actually work, and given that the community has statistics to back it up, Bungie is currently conducting its own investigation. You will find these and other stories on the next pages.

The MCU’s favorite web-crawler will return to theaters in 2026. It will debut shortly thereafter that 12 monthsand star Tom Holland confirmed that production will begin in mid-2025.
“We start shooting next summer. Everything is ready. We’re almost there,” Holland said in an interview earlier this week. “Very exciting. Can’t wait!” Spider-Man 4, the sequel to 2021’s No Way Home, will be officially released on July 24, 2026.
That means it takes place just a few months after , which debuts on May 1 this year and stars Robert Downey Jr. as the titular villain, as revealed earlier this year at San Diego Comic Con 2024. The sequel will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who created and likely has some connections to the larger MCU, though it’s not yet clear how exactly. “I’ve talked to (Robert Downey Jr.) a lot, especially about his (Marvel) return, which is very exciting,” Holland said on the show Rich Roll podcast earlier this month. “It was a difficult secret because I have a reputation for spoiling things and I strategically didn’t cooperate with the press.”
The young actor, who also starred in the 2022 adaptation of the hit PlayStation games, said he was excited by the script. (*4*) Holland told the Rich Roll podcast. “Zendaya and I sat down and read it together, and at times we were jumping around the living room like it was a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.”
2026 remains to be a good distance off, and Insomniac Games recently confirmed that it will occur The PS5 game will not receive any story DLC. However, it will be successful in 2023 coming to PC next January.
