Zendaya on a potential third season of “Euphoria”: “It’s beyond me”

Zendaya says it’s less than her whether “Euphoria” returns or not. The actress was asked about a potential third season of the favored HBO series during Tuesday’s premiere of “Challengers” in Los Angeles.

I’m talking with Diversitythe actress explained that she had no influence on these decisions.

“I don’t know,” Zendaya said. “I’m not in charge here!”

“If everything goes well for the characters,” she said, “and of course everything works out as it should… but this is beyond me.”

According to Variety, the second season of the acclaimed series will air in 2022, and since then, the third season has been repeatedly delayed as a consequence of Hollywood strikes and the death of Angus Cloud. Speaking to the location earlier this 12 months, a spokesperson said: “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to creating an exceptional third season. In the meantime, we’re letting our popular cast pursue other opportunities.”

As theGrio previously reported, “Euphoria” was a hit for HBO and a vital part of Zendaya’s profession, earning her two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Since then, her star has only grown, starring in the large “Dune” franchise as Chani, and currently promoting her biggest role so far, Tashi Duncan within the acclaimed film “Challengers” directed by Luca Guadagnino.

In 2022, Zendaya opened as much as the Grio about her love for “Euphoria” character Rue, saying she truly “cares about her a lot.”

“There are so many people who have shared their stories, who feel so deeply connected to Rue… it’s the most beautiful thing to me,” she said. “People may feel seen by her, or maybe just feel less alone in what they feel or have gone through. This is really, really important to me.”
