San Antonio City Council passes ‘COVID-19 Anti-Hate Resolution’

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and City Council on Thursday morning unanimously voted to extend the coronavirus emergency orders.

The "Stay Home, Work Safe” order be will extended until 11:59 p.m. on June 4. Nirenberg announced the extension on Tuesday but it was pending City Council approval. This is the fifth time councilmembers have approved an extension, according to city officials.

The emergency order strongly encourages residents older than 10 to wear face masks and suspends foreclosure proceeding until July 6. It also includes advisory language on antibody tests and other health protocols.
